ILAC has been awarded Highly Commended in the Language Educator of the Year category at the PIEoneer Awards 2020.
ILAC was selected for its ILAC KISS online program, which was launched in mid-March as a reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since then, ILAC has been offering full and part- time virtual classes to students around the world, live from Toronto and Vancouver.
When Canada and the world went into lockdown mode, ILAC made a decision to close its physical schools and transition all classes at ILAC into ILAC KISS – Keeping it Simple and Smart – to ensure the health and safety of its students, teachers, staff, homestay families and local community. Within one week ILAC went from nine bustling campuses in Toronto and Vancouver to a fully virtual classroom experience available anywhere in the world, live and in real-time across various time zones.
Using Zoom as its platform, ILAC created a new ILAC KISS brand, with reduced pricing and flexible schedules for different time zones.
Feedback from international students and agents has been incredible, as people were forced into isolation over the past year. As one student said, “These courses at ILAC KISS are literally saving my life during quarantine.”
Today ILAC offers full and part-time programs in University Pathways, IELTS Preparation, ILAC International College and ESL for all levels.
Many students are choosing to study at home in preparation for future studies in Canada, as part of the ILAC 50/50 initiative.
