Nobel Peace Prize Nominee to Speak at Leading English Language School in Canada

Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, the renowned author and peace activist, will be the keynote speaker at the ILAC Red Carpet Gala Event in Toronto on April 25th. Dr. Abuelaish is a top advocate for human rights and education for women.

The International Language Academy of Canada is a leading English language school in Canada that attracts thousands of students from around the world. Many ILAC graduates go on to study at Canadian universities and colleges.

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting education around the globe, ILAC has joined efforts with Dr. Abuelaish to create positive learning opportunities for girls and women in the Middle East.

Dr. Abuelaish made international headlines in 2009 when his three daughters were killed in an Israeli bombing in the Gaza Strip, just minutes before he was to appear on Israeli TV. Despite his tragic loss, Dr. Abuelaish continued to advocate for peace in the region, turning his personal grief into a public call to action.

Known as “the Gaza Doctor”, Dr. Abuelaish is the author of the best-selling book I Shall Not Hate, which describes his life growing up in Gaza and his dream of peace throughout the world. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and has received numerous awards for his contribution to ending the violence in the Middle East.

In memory of his daughters, Dr. Abuelaish created The Daughters for Life Foundation, a charity that promotes leadership development, health and education for girls and women in the Middle East. https://www.daughtersforlife.com/
