Bands on the Beach – September 3rd and 4th

Come out with your lawn chairs, and join Bands on the Beach for two days of great music to celebrate the last days of summer. If you’re a fan of Indie, Bluegrass, New Country and more, you are sure to enjoy this weekend long event.

The event runs from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm on September 3rd and 1:00 pm- 4:30 pm on September 4th. An after party will be held Sunday night at Memorial Hall from 7:30 pm until midnight. Beer, wine, and snacks will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at the event’s website.

The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) has been held every summer in Vancouver since 1910. PNE offers plenty of fun for all ages – explore exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities, foods and more. For tickets and more information visit PNE’s website.

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival

Bard on the beach is the Canadian West coast’s leading non-profit Shakespeare Festival. This year celebrates the festival’s 27th season of professional theatrical performances. Situated in Vancouver’s Vanier Park waterfront, the festival showcase Shakespeare plays, associated dramas and a number of special events, which are held in the presentation tents. This year’s festival features performances of Othello, Pericles, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Raptors Ridge Birds of Prey at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Spend a day exploring the beautiful rainforest and get to know various birds of prey including Red-Tailed Hawks, Lanner Falcons, and Great Horned Owls in their natural habitat at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Visitors have a chance to walk the famous 450-foot cliff walk and explore the rainforest canopy. To find out more visit their website.

Taiwan Fest – September 3rd to 5th

Interested in learning about Taiwanese culture and art? Taiwan Fest is Vancouver’s leading celebration of Taiwanese culture.
