Do you miss your friends and family? Feeling sad and overwhelmed in a new place? It’s normal to feel a little homesick when you’re studying in another city or country.

Here are some ways you can beat the blues*….

girlatfountain1. Get Involved and Stay Busy – Participate in activities at your school. Live the tourist experience. There are lots of free things to do in your new city. Explore a new neighbourhood or try a new food.

2. Keep In Touch with Old Friends – Skype, Facebook, Instagram – there are so many ways to keep in touch with our friends and family these days!

3. Find New Friends – Get to know your classmates, try different social events, volunteer.
