5 Activities To Get The Summer Started In Vancouver

1- Richmond Night Market

Enjoy a nice warm evening to visit the Annual Richmond Night Market, the largest in North America. And you’re lucky, this year, it hosts Canada’s 150th Anniversary celebration!

Featuring live performances, arcade games, and over 200 retail stalls, you’ll feel the excitement from the moment you arrive. And the best part? With over 500 food choices from around the world, you won’t go home hungry!

The entrance costs $3.75, but our little advice is to take the $25 zoom pass. For up to seven visits, skip the line and get discounts! The pass is transferrable; share it with your ILAC friends!

2- Playland

A magical land dedicated to happiness. Right here in Vancouver! Try their new coaster ride, Bug Whirled or The Flutterbye and don’t forget to take the plunge on the marvellous mechanical Dizzy Drop to feel the thrill.

Our tip to prepare for your summer of fun is to buy a day-pass online and save up to $5 compared to buying at the gates!

3- Have Breakfast with the Bears

Launch your summer season with new adventures! Try an amazing breakfast experience with your friends. Enjoy early access to Grouse Mountain, and learn all about Grinder and Coola, the local Grizzly Bears! Explore their habitat while eating a beary delicious breakfast.

4- Stand-Up Paddle

Enjoy the warm temperature while Stand-Up Paddle Boarding. It is the fastest growing water sport in the world, a must-try!

Surprisingly easy, you do not need to be a professional. Have fun and see wildlife and scenery while making your way through calm waters. Make your reservation in advance to make sure that they have the right board available for you!

5- Swim at Kitsilano Beach

Know as “Kits Beach” to locals, it is the place to be this summer! Bask in the sun on the clean sand beaches, while looking at the beautiful views of English Bay and downtown Vancouver. Sparkling salt water on your feet, shine on your face, relaxing time is coming and you are going to love it!

WHEN: Every day from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

WHERE: Kitsilano Beach Park, 1499 Arbutus St, Vancouver
