ILAC Introduces Vaccine Passport to Keep Students and Teachers Safe, Effective September 7

Open Letter from Jonathan Kolber, ILAC CEO As you know, I have been very vocal about the need for international students to get vaccinated. There is only one way to fight this pandemic in Canada, and that is to get as close to 100% of people vaccinated as possible. That’s why ILAC is introducing a COVID vaccine passport starting September 7, which will require all students on campus to be vaccinated or show a negative test result. Educating our community about vaccines is our social responsibility and we take it very seriously. Teachers and students deserve a safe place to work and study, and masks are simply not enough. Vaccines in Canada are free for all international students and ILAC is supporting students with the process, including answering all questions and concerns. For students who do not want to get vaccinated or tested, online classes will continue to be available for an extended period of time. We look forward to welcoming everyone on our beautiful campuses to do what we do best – teach English and provide international students with opportunities to study, work and immigrate to Canada.
