Languages Canada and the State of Sao Paulo sign MOU | Languages Canada

Languages Canada and The Secretariat of Education of the State of São Paulo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote English and French learning and teaching, as well as the international mobility of teachers and students. The agreement will open doors to São Paulo’s children and youth and give them an opportunity to improve their English and French.

Canada’s Consul General in São Paulo, Stéphane Larue, attended the signing ceremony with Dr. Herman Jacobus Cornelis Voorwald, Secretary of education for the State of São Paulo.

Consul General Larue stated that he was delighted to witness the beginning of ” a very fruitful collaboration between Canada and the State of São Paulo in the area of English and French language training.”

 

As it is mentioned on its official website, of the Languages Canada is the not-for-profit association that “represents more than 227 language education member programs across Canada, which offer accredited English and French programs from both the public and private sectors.” Every year Languages Canada members receive more than 18,000 Brazilian students.
