Tarkan Ulas was born in Istanbul, Turkey and came to Toronto 6 years ago. He has been working at ILAC for almost 3 years and is responsible for a team of international counselors besides managing his own markets.

The Counselor’s role ranges from assisting the students with any questions they might have to providing educational agents and students with top rate services.

Tarkan: 2 younger sisters.

Tarkan: My mom’s cooking.

ILAC Times: What’s the best place to go in your hometown?
Tarkan: Bosphorus. One of the world’s most strategic waterways. The strait is between the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara.

Tarkan: Not yet!

Tarkan: No.

ILAC Times: How long have you been in Canada?
Tarkan: 6 years.

ILAC Times: What do you like the most about Canada?
Tarkan: Its multiculturalism.

Tarkan: Vancouver, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and Victoria.

Tarkan: Toronto and Victoria.

Tarkan: The Harbourfront and the Danforth. ILAC Times: Don’t go to? Tarkan:You mean places I do not go to or frequent? Hmmmm… a lot!

Tarkan: I have a Bachelor degree in International Marketing and an International Trade certificate.

Tarkan: Computer Company.

Tarkan: Almost 3 years.

	ILAC Times: What is your position? Tarkan: Regional Director of Marketing. ILAC Times: What countries do you assist? Tarkan: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, China, Israel, Middle East Countries, Hungary, Sweden, Albania and Kazakhstan. ILAC Times: What do you like the most about your work? Tarkan: The coworkers because they are my friends.
